Our Story

We are Jordan and Ashley, husband and wife, and parents to two spunky girls and three rambunctious boys.

Our family has always done much of life together. We build things, make meals from scratch, tend to our home, and work alongside one another. Ardor grew naturally from that way of life.

What began with making candles in our own home has become an opportunity for our whole family to take part in meaningful work. Many hands help along the way, and we are grateful for the chance it gives our children to learn to work, contribute, and serve others.

We are inspired by the wisdom of generations past, who understood the value of keeping a good home: laundry drying on the line, supper made from what was in the larder, useful things cared for, and what was broken mended before something new was bought.

There is something worth keeping in that way of life.

And so we make things much the same way, thoughtfully, with our hands, and in small batches.
